Avenue

I have had my Avenue for 3 years does everything as expected. Has knobby tires and shock front fork that I had installed when new. Ride on pavement, dirt and hard packed beach. My only issue is it’s only 48volts and does not ride as long as my wife’s 52volt with larger battery. I always have people tell me how they like it. Dealer and Service could not be better Pismo Beach Bikes is Great.

I love my new Pedego bike. Chris Lescart, the salesperson at the Pedego located [****], after hearing what I was looking for, let me test out his own bike which happened to be a Pedego Avenue Step Through. I loved it so much I wanted the exact same replica of what he had. The only problem was, we were in Calgary and had to get back home in British Columbia the next day. Chris offered to stay open that night to have my bike ready. Well, Chris and Vinni (the technician) not only stayed open but Chris actually had parts of his own bike put onto mine because they were out of stock on some items (talk about service!), and Vinni spent a lot of time making sure the bike was adjusted for my frame and what I was comfortable with. They adjusted the seat and handlebars, explained all the details on how to work the e-bike to a newbie like me, and took the care to make sure I rode the bike so that it was to my comfort. I think they stayed about 2 1/2 hours after closing just to make sure my bike was ready to take home to BC. Customer Service was unbelievably top notch!!! and I looooove my new ebike!

Love the styling, with mag wheels it looks amazing. Looks aren't everything. If you want to ride a different bike everyday this one's for you.

I ride this daily and everyday something different. Motor has a mind of its own. Need to use throttle till the cadence sensor kicks in which is normally a full rotation. Once your going don't stop pedaling or the motor will slow you down. Don't go downhill, that really confuses the motor. Don't go uphill that confuses the motor. Don't go on flat ground that confuses the motor. Don't use the brakes it takes a long time for the motor to catch back up. Breaks will need adjustment weekly.

I was looking at the City Commuter Platinum Edition but fell in love with the look of the Avenue.

I bought this for the look and the peace of mind of the claimed amazing customer service and warranty.

Had the Avenue for less than 6 months, been in the shop 3 times. Don't take it to the shop, will be there for weeks while they wait for corporate to send parts. Had the display replaced already, wiring harness fixed, battery bridge connector replaced. Now tech support thinks it might be the controller. Don't know because corporate can't get the part from their own shipping partner.

Now I am chasing squeaks while I wait for corporate to send me the part to try fixing the error code 16 myself. Sounds like I am riding a bike from a thrift store.

I have wondered if maybe I should have gone with the City Commuter but now it seems it would have mattered. Pedego is an investment run company. Support and customer service is not in the game plan.

I bought the bike and as soon as I rode it around I could tell there was a glitch. If I'm riding on PAS 1 and I put it up to PAS 2, the extra power does not start until I stop peddling and then I have to start peddling and then I usually have to stop peddling a second time and start peddling again before the power finally kicks in.!The same thing happens when I go from PAS 2 to PAS 3. I took it back to McDowell Mountain Ranch Pedego shop where I bought it before the warranty was up and the guy insisted there was nothing wrong with it because all he did was ride it around the parking lot that was full of cars and people. I told him there was no way he could go from PAS 2 to PAS 3 in a crowded parking lot and that he had to take it out on the street. He told me he would take it out again and all he did was ride it through the parking lot again and told me there was nothing wrong with it! So what could I do? I was absolutely furious because I knew there was a glitch in the bike. The other thing is that the battery is extremely difficult to get out of the bike and to put it back in. I asked the guy in the shop specifically to show me how to do it and he had a lot of trouble himself. As far as I'm concerned, it is a piece of junk.
