Cain opened Pedego Columbia after a 30-year career in managed health care contracting. He has been involved in startups and ventures in the past. “Running a Pedego store is my favorite career,” Cain said. “I love bringing the Pedego joy to my customers!” He discovered Pedego Electric Bikes through his cousin, Pam Cain Beckom, and Caroline Harbaugh, who co-own the Pedego Dunedin and Pedego St. Petersburg stores in Florida.
Zooming for miles is fun and easy with Pedego’s Pedal Assist and twist-and-go throttle that helps riders power up hills, through headwinds and across distances with ease. Pedal or not, Pedego riders go longer, father and faster than they could on traditional pedal bikes.
Located near urban, rural and frontier settings, the Pedego Columbia store provides easy access to local cycling destinations, including the famous Katy Trail, a national Rail Trail that takes riders on hundreds of miles of pleasure cruising and sightseeing. A 30-mile cruise to the south takes riders to the Ozark Mountains that provide panoramic views of lakes, white water streams, rivers and vistas in the Mark Twain National Forest.
Riders can enjoy powering up the rolling hills alongside the tree-lined river and river bluffs and can enjoy seeing herds of deer and plentiful waterfowl, including eagles, along the way to the Missouri capitol, Jefferson City. Destinations also include fascinating historic locales, such as Civil War and Lewis and Clark sites, plus top-flight local cuisine, art galleries, vineyards, music and more.
“Missouri has so much to offer riders, and with Pedego electric bikes, virtually anyone can ride any distance,” said Pedego Electric Bikes CEO and co-founder Don DiCostanzo. “Pedego electric bikes empower riders to enjoy Columbia’s spectacular, historical bike paths.”
