Pedego Electric Bikes Celebrates the Opening of Their New Store in Orlando, Florida

ORLANDO, FL. (April 13, 2022) – Pedego Electric Bikes, an award-winning national electric bike company with over 200 stores globally, celebrates the opening of their new store in Orlando, Florida. Pedego Baldwin Park is independently owned and operated by Matthew McKay.
The store is set to host a Grand Opening Celebration this Friday, April 15th from 4:30pm-6:30pm. The Pedego “Hello Fun Mobile” will be present along with Pedego CEO Don DiConstanzo and Cynthia Newcomb, VP of Business Development. Attendees will be treated to a group ride around Lake Baldwin, followed by raffles, food and lots of fun.
Pedego Baldwin Park is one of the most recent stores opened by Pedego, with the company setting pace to open one store per week in 2022. The amount of local stores, paired with an exclusive 5-year warranty, a peer-to-peer bike sharing community and a ticket to healthy, outdoor fun are some of the biggest reasons for Pedego’s incredible success.
The largest private e-bike company in the nation, Pedego has seen steady, with strategic growth in sales and overall revenue following the hitch that was the pandemic. Over the past 10 years, Pedego sales have increased at an average rate of 44.34%, annually. While the pandemic gave the e-bike business a fast pass in popularity, with rising industry sales of 145% in 2020, Pedego is still riding the steady sales climb with their loyal following.
Pedego Baldwin Park is located at 4931 New Broad Street in Orlando, Florida 32814, and offers e-bikes for rental and purchase, as well as bike mechanic service and professional assembly to suit all Pedego e-biking needs. The Baldwin Park store also offers access to a number of biking trails, including the Cady Way Trail, Cross Seminole Trail, and the Orlando Urban Trail, as well as direct access to Lake Baldwin.
After 25 years in the vacuum business, Matthew McKay was in dire need of a change in scenery. In July of 2021, Matthew bought his first Pedego, and almost immediately decided that he wanted to own a Pedego store of his own. Realizing he did not want to take on this new adventure alone, Matthew decided to enlist the help of a former employee of his, Jack Thomas. Jack, who had stopped working for Matthew 15 years prior, struggled with multiple back, leg, and hip issues from his time in the Air Force. Due to these many injuries, Jack had not ridden a bicycle in over 20 years. However, after Matthew took Jack on his first ride, he was hooked, and the two friends and former co-workers decided to partner up again and open a Pedego Store in Baldwin Park.
“I have loved riding bikes ever since I was a kid riding on the Rock Creek Bike path to the National Zoo in Washington, DC,” said Matthew McKay, owner of Pedego Baldwin Park. “Now, I get to go further, faster, and with a lot more smiles than ever before.”
