COMMUTING BY PEDEGO REAPS REWARDS
“I’m loving it,” says Esther Kimm. “ It’s just a better quality of life. I look better, I feel better and I couldn’t ask for anything more than that.”
Before buying a Pedego, Esther wasn’t riding a bike at all. In fact, she and her husband bought a special shed to store their fancy mountain bikes that they never used.
The problem was that pedaling up the steep hills near their home would cause her knees to ache. “I would suffer for about two or three days after riding a bike,” she explains.
Then she landed a dream job with one of the coolest companies on Earth but it came with two major challenges. First, parking is expensive and a huge hassle. Second, it’s a sedentary job sitting in front of a computer all day.
Esther thought, “Maybe I can kill two birds with one stone and ride a bike to work.” But she knew a regular bike wouldn’t work for her, so she started researching electric bikes.
“I’m the research queen,” Esther proclaims and she remembers looking at all sorts of electric bikes. It was love at first sight when she discovered the Pedego City Commuter. She fell hard for its “old world charm” and said to herself, “It better ride nice because I’m stuck on this look!”
When she took a test ride at her local Pedego store, she wasn’t disappointed. With one twist of the throttle, she was totally hooked, and her life was changed for good.
Esther describes the difference her Pedego has made in her life with just one word: “Whooee!”
“With the Pedego, my knees don’t hurt anymore and it just frees me to do whatever I want to do,” she says. “Fresh air, exercise, and I even look sexier too! I’m losing my ‘spare tire’ by biking to work, and my sugar is normalizing so I don’t take insulin anymore.”
Esther’s commute is roughly an eighteen-mile round trip, and her Pedego makes it fun and easy to be active every day.
“We work a lot of hours, and it’s hard to say that after work I’m going to go to the gym and workout. Oh c’mon now! In reality, I’m gonna go home, eat, and go to sleep.”
But with her Pedego, exercise is just part of her daily routine and she actually looks forward to it. At the end of a long day at work, it feels good to twist the throttle and “just jam” up the steep hills on the way home.
“Riding a Pedego gives me a lot of exercise, it keeps my diabetes in check, and it allows a lot of freedom (like the convenience of parking right next to work). But the best part about it is that it’s a lot of fun! Forget about all the other benefits, it’s fun, and isn’t that what life is all about?”
