Ridge Rider 2: Everyday Comfort Meets All-Terrain Confidence

Ridge Rider 2: Everyday Comfort Meets All-Terrain Confidence

Some rides start on neighborhood pavement and end on a gravel road you did not plan to explore. Ridge Rider 2 is built for exactly that kind of day.

It is an adventure-hybrid e-bike: approachable enough for everyday riding, capable enough to keep going when the surface changes. That makes it a natural choice for riders whose favorite routes mix streets, campground roads, packed gravel, and appropriate light trails.

Confidence starts with the riding position

Ridge Rider 2 places the rider in a more upright, relaxed position. The step-through frame makes mounting and dismounting easier, while the geometry is designed to feel stable without becoming sluggish. For many riders, that combination supports better visibility, a more natural reach to the controls, and less pressure on the upper body.

The total payload capacity is up to 330 pounds, including the rider and cargo. Because fit affects both comfort and control, a dealer can help adjust the saddle, handlebar position, and controls before the first longer ride.

Built for surfaces that do not stay perfect

The 27.5" x 2.4" tires create a generous contact patch for confident handling. Up front, suspension with 80mm of travel helps absorb cracks, washboard, small roots, and uneven transitions. Together, the tires and suspension help the bike feel composed when smooth pavement gives way to rougher ground.

Ridge Rider 2 is not an invitation to ignore trail rules or conditions. Use the bike only on routes where e-bikes are permitted, ride within your skill level, and slow down around other users. Loose surfaces require more room for turning and braking, especially when carrying cargo.

Power that feels useful, not intimidating

The 750W motor delivers up to 90Nm of torque. That assistance can help with hills, headwinds, soft surfaces, and longer outings, but the goal is controlled power. Pedego’s selectable drive modes let riders choose a response that feels comfortable for the terrain and the day.

Range is listed at up to 90 miles under stated test conditions. Your actual result will depend on elevation, surface, temperature, wind, total load, speed, tire pressure, and assist level. A long, flat ride at a moderate pace may use energy very differently from a hilly route on loose ground.

Braking, lighting, and everyday utility

Tektro hydraulic disc brakes use a 203mm front rotor and 180mm rear rotor. The larger front rotor adds braking capacity and heat management where much of the stopping work occurs. The hydraulic system is designed for smooth modulation with reduced hand effort.

An integrated lighting system includes a headlight, rear running lights, an active brake light, and turn signals. These features support visibility in changing conditions, while fenders help manage road spray and debris.

The MIK HD rear rack is rated for up to 100 pounds, giving riders practical carrying capacity for compatible accessories. Keep cargo within all ratings, secure it carefully, and remember that additional weight changes handling and braking distance.

Ridge Rider 2 comes in Cloud Cover, Quiet Violet, and Veiled Vista. Each color complements the same practical, adventure-ready platform.

Class 3 ready—where available and permitted

Ridge Rider 2 operates as a Class 1 and Class 2 e-bike and is Class 3 ready. Class 3 upgrades are offered only at participating Pedego locations, for eligible configurations, and only where allowed. Local rules determine where and how a Class 3 e-bike can be used; public-road access does not automatically mean access to a trail, path, or park.

Before upgrading, ask your local dealer about eligibility and check the applicable state and local rules. Riders should also consider whether their normal routes, experience, helmet, and riding habits are appropriate for higher assisted speed. The throttle does not operate to Class 3 speed.

Test the surfaces you actually ride

The best way to understand Ridge Rider 2 is to ride it. Ask your dealer whether the test route can include smooth pavement and an appropriate mixed surface. Notice how the bike starts, turns, brakes, and settles over rough patches. Try the drive modes and confirm that the cockpit feels natural.

Everyday adventure is not about chasing the roughest route. It is about having the confidence to keep exploring when the road gets more interesting.

Book a Ridge Rider 2 test ride and discover where your everyday route can lead.

Estimated range based on a 165 lb rider on flat terrain under normal riding conditions. Actual range may vary. Confirm specifications, route access, cargo compatibility, and Class 3 availability before publication or purchase.
