Before charging, allow a battery that is unusually hot or cold to return to the approved charging temperature for that system.
For longer-term storage, follow the exact charge-level and inspection guidance for your model. Do not borrow a generic storage percentage or recharge interval from another bike or brand; battery systems and management strategies differ.
3. Manage the factors that consume energy
Higher speeds, frequent acceleration, steep hills, headwinds, soft surfaces, heavy loads, low tire pressure, cold weather, and higher assist can all increase energy use. A practical ride plan leaves a reserve instead of treating the maximum range estimate as a promise.
