Our Hollywood Racks collection includes options for different bikes, receiver sizes, and loading preferences. Start with the bike you own and your vehicle, then choose the carrier that makes the trip easier.

Start at your vehicle
Check your hitch receiver size before shopping: is it 1¼ inches or 2 inches? Confirm its hitch class and the vehicle and hitch tongue-weight ratings, including the rack and every bike you will carry. Choose a rack designed for that receiver and approved vehicle type. A hitch-size adapter does not automatically make another rack suitable.
The Element 2, Ridge Rider 2, and Latch 2 are step-through bikes. Sport Rider requires Hollywood Racks’ Bike Adapter for each step-through bike. Destination E and RV Rider racks hold the seatpost without that adapter. CrossTrack holds the wheels; fender-equipped bikes use its Fender Adapter, which limits wheelbase to 45 inches.
A carrier for your Element 2
Sport Rider gives Element 2 owners an 80-lb-per-bike capacity and room for tires up to 5 inches wide. Choose the 2-inch version for a suitable 2-inch receiver or the separate 1¼-inch version for an approved Class II 1¼-inch receiver. Add the step-through Bike Adapter and confirm the correct small-wheel adapter for Element 2’s 20-inch wheels.
At 68.3 lbs without its battery, Element 2 is above CrossTrack’s 66-lb limit. Destination E offers a ramp and 70 lbs per bike on a 2-inch receiver, leaving only 1.7 lbs of buffer for the published battery-removed weight. Check the bike’s weight as transported before choosing it; Sport Rider gives you a larger capacity margin.
Options for Ridge Rider 2 and Latch 2
If you prefer to roll the bike into place, Destination E includes a loading ramp and carries two bikes up to 70 lbs each on a 2-inch receiver. That puts the battery-removed Ridge Rider 2 and Latch 2 below its limit. Sport Rider is another option when you want 80 lbs per bike, with the step-through Bike Adapter.
For a single bike and wheel-only contact, consider CrossTrack 1 only after checking the full fit. CrossTrack 2 carries two bikes, each up to 66 lbs. Ridge Rider 2 is listed at 62.4 lbs without its battery, leaving 3.6 lbs of capacity. Latch 2 is listed at exactly 66 lbs without its battery, leaving no margin for added accessories. With either fender-equipped bike, confirm that its wheelbase is within the Fender Adapter’s 45-inch limit. Latch 2’s 20-inch wheels and 3-inch tires fall within CrossTrack’s published wheel and tire limits, but weight and fender fit still decide the pairing.
For your RV adventures
RV Rider carries two bikes up to 80 lbs each on a 2-inch Class III hitch and holds step-through bikes without a Bike Adapter. Hollywood Racks approves it for specified Class A, B, and C motorhomes, fifth wheels, and flat-towed vehicles. It is not approved for travel trailers or bumper-mounted receivers. Sport Rider’s RV approval is limited to Class B motorhomes. Match the carrier to your specific RV and hitch before choosing.
Make loading part of the plan
Removing the battery during transportation is a good idea. Carry it securely inside the vehicle and take loose bags off the bike. Check the actual carried weight, tire and wheelbase fit, and attachment points, then secure the bike with the rack’s straps and supports. Recheck the rack and straps after a short drive.
