PEDEGO MADISON, NJ CELEBRATES NEW STORE OPENING WITH RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

MADISON, N.J. (October 14, 2021) – Pedego Electric Bikes, an award-winning national electric bike company with over 200 stores globally, opened a new store in New Jersey’s Madison region. Pedego Madison is located at 82 Main Street, Madison, N.J., and is independently owned and operated by Debbie Benjamin, a resident of Madison.
Debbie spent 21 years working a corporate job while raising her two older daughters as a single mother. After remarrying and giving birth to twins, she concentrated her time over the last 12 years raising the twins and getting involved at their schools. Debbie has long had the spirit of an entrepreneur and was eager to find a product that would encourage people to get outside, exercise, and most importantly have fun. With this in mind, Pedego seemed like the perfect fit for her entrepreneurial spirit.
“We’re excited to establish a Pedego Electric Bike store in this community,” said Debbie. “With the opening of Pedego Madison, we hope we can bring adventure and fun to people’s lives in a new way.” The area surrounding Madison is very bike friendly and has a wide variety of bike trails within the vicinity of the store.
Pedego Madison held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its grand opening on Friday, October 1st. Mayor Robert Conley was in attendance, as well as several members from the Madison Chamber of Commerce, and over 70 Pedego enthusiasts and customers. The Madison store raffled off a Pedego electric bike at the ceremony, raising almost $3,000 for the Interfaith Food Pantry in Morristown which serves Morris County residents in need by providing access to food, education, and other resources.
Don DiCostanzo, Pedego CEO, founded Pedego Electric Bikes in 2008 out of the desire to combine quality and style in the E-bike category.
“The Benjamin’s are an incredible family and we are very excited to have them representing Pedego,” said Don. “They are very passionate about what Pedego stands for, and all of the many ways owning a Pedego store can positively affect the local area, and we wish them all the best.”
