Local Electric Bike Shop Hosts Group Bike Ride And Community Event, Inspires Connection And Outdoor Activity

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich.—May 26, 2021—As part of the nationwide “Hello Fun Tour,” Pedego Junction Electric Bikes is hosting a neighborhood Palooza event on Sunday, June 13, at 1 p.m. The event will feature a Pedego group ride in Lake St. Clair Metropark, food, drinks and live music. Pedego Vice President of Marketing Cassidy Castleman will also be in attendance to connect with local Pedego enthusiasts.

“We are excited to celebrate our Pedego community with this Palooza event,” said Greg Krzeminski, owner of Pedego Junction. “Pedego is all about community and adventure, and I love having the opportunity to see the people of Harrison Township come together with a shared love for exploring the outdoors on a Pedego Electric Bike.”

The Pedego group ride will depart from Pedego Junction at 1:30 p.m. for a 10–15 mile ride through Lake St. Clair Metropark. The group will return to the store for food, drinks and live music from 4-8 p.m. The event is open to anyone in the community, and non-Pedego owners are welcome to bring their own bicycles.

Krzeminski opened Pedego Junction’s doors more than a decade ago. He was first introduced to Pedego Electric Bikes when he met Pedego CEO Don DiCostanzo. “I only intended on buying one Pedego bike, but Don convinced me to buy three so I could start selling them in Michigan,” said Krzeminski. “I decided to take a chance, and thankfully, people quickly adopted my same love for Pedego. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share the joy that Pedego has brought to my life with my community of riders.”

This event is one stop of many on Pedego’s 2021 Hello Fun Tour. With stops in more than 80 communities that are home to Pedego storefronts, the Hello Fun Tour will highlight more than 40 new store openings, adding to the brand’s footprint of over 175 locally-owned locations.

“Harrison Township is really the perfect place to operate a Pedego store,” said Krzeminski. “We have so many bike paths and trails along Freedom Trail, Clinton River and Spillway. It’s wonderful to see people enjoying these trails with their Pedego.”

Before opening his Pedego store, Krzeminski was a FEMA Post Disaster Housing Inspector. “I have always enjoyed helping others. I’m glad I can continue to put smiles on people’s faces by helping them find their perfect Pedego,” Krzeminski said.

Founded in 2008, Pedego was created to be the best brand of electric bikes, not necessarily the largest. Don DiCostanzo founded Pedego out of a desire to combine quality and style in the electric bike category. Thus, Pedego’s premium, quality bikes were born.

“The Hello Fun Tour is the highlight of our year at Pedego,” said DiCostanzo. “We love the opportunity to celebrate our communities. This tour is a unique way for us to show our appreciation and to surprise and delight our store owners and customers. Pedego is all about community, connecting with others and enjoying exercise, and the Palooza events embody just that.”
