Locally-Owned Electric Bike Shop Opens Doors to Community; Inspires Connection And Celebrates Outdoor Activity

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—May 6, 2021- Pedego Electric Bikes, a leading electric bike brand, is now open in Winston-Salem at 176 YWCA Way. Local store owner, Hal Boyle, will welcome the community for a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Allen Joines and celebration event on Thursday, May 6 from 3:30 to 6 p.m.

“The Piedmont Triad is the perfect place for Pedego Electric Bikes,” said Boyle. “Our community is filled with people who will embrace Pedego’s adventurous spirit, and our area contains so many hidden gems that can be discovered and enjoyed by e-bike. I’m eager to watch our Pedego community continue to grow.”

The event will serve as a grand re-opening after the store’s temporary closure due to COVID-19 and will feature a food truck, live music, free Pedego test rides, corn hole, bike painting, segway tours, paddleboarding on Three Lakes, trolley tours and more. A ribbon cutting with Mayor Allen Joines is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Pedego Director of Business Development Cynthia Newcomb will also be in attendance for the celebration.

In addition to operating his Pedego store, Boyle is the founder and president of BOIL Twice, Inc., an organization that provides creative small-business coaching and entity development. He also founded and sold CACTX Surfaces, whose mission is to provide superior pavement repair, maintenance and enhancement services tailored to individual needs and driven by customer friendly relationships.
