Locally-Owned Electric Bike Shop Opens Doors to Community; Supports Local Charity
GALVESTON, TX.—March 28, 2021—Pedego Electric Bikes, a leading electric bike brand, is now open in Galveston at 728 Seawall Blvd. Ste. B. Store owners, Miguel and Gina Ortiz, invite the community to join the ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, March 28, at 11:30 a.m.
“It’s a joy to bring Pedego Electric Bikes to our Galveston family,” said Gina Ortiz. “We are confident our community will enjoy the adventure, connection and outdoor experience Pedego e-bikes will bring. We’re excited to see our community adopt the adventurous spirit of Pedego.”
The grand opening event will feature live music on the roof, food, Pedego group rides, silent auctions, door prizes and more. There will be a chance to walk away with a Pedego Comfort Cruiser e-bike, a surfing lesson from a well-known surfer and a free night at a Galveston condo. Silent auction items include stained glass items, rental credit from Pedego Galveston and more.
In addition to celebrating the grand opening, the event will also be a charity fundraiser for the David A. Ortiz Foundation, which honors the Ortiz’s son who lost his life in an apartment fire. The foundation gives scholarships and smoke alarms to graduating seniors from David’s high school.
