Pedego Electric Bikes Opens in Charleston

Locally-Owned Electric Bike Shop Opens Doors to Community; Inspires Connection And Celebrates Outdoor Activity
CHARLESTON, SC.—April 23, 2021—Pedego Electric Bikes, a leading electric bike brand, is opening in Charleston at 628 Coleman Blvd. Local store owner, Rob Crabtree, invites the community to join the ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, April 23, at 3 p.m.
“It’s a pleasure to introduce Pedego Electric Bikes to the greater Charleston area,” said Crabtree. “With access to the beach, hiking and biking trails, our Mount Pleasant storefront couldn’t be in a better location. There is also a strong sense of community here, and we can’t wait to be a part of it. I have no doubt Mount Pleasant and the greater Charleston area will enjoy the adventures, connection and outdoor experiences our Pedego e-bikes will bring.”
The event will include food catered from Home Team BBQ, a raffle and more. The raffle will begin a week prior and continue through the duration of the event with the winner being announced at the Grand Opening celebration. All proceeds from the raffle sales will be donated to Charleston Moves, a nonprofit organization that encourages mobility by bicycle, foot and public transit for the improved health and well-being of greater Charleston. Additionally, Pedego CEO Don DiCostanzo and Pedego Director of Business Development Cynthia Newcomb will be in attendance.
“After owning a few Pedego e-bikes myself, I realized that I wanted to share that joy with my community,” said Crabtree. “Thus, I opened Pedego Charleston and can’t wait to see the cycling community grow here.”
