Local Electric Bike Shop Hosts Group Bike Ride And Community Event, Inspires Connection And Outdoor Activity
HARRISBURG, Pa. — May 12, 2021— As part of its nationwide “Hello Fun Tour,” Pedego Electric Bikes Harrisburg is hosting a community event at its storefront located at 17 N. 3rd St. The event will feature a group Pedego ride along the Susquehanna River and refreshments on Wednesday, May 12 from 12-3 p.m. Additionally, Pedego CEO Don DiCostanzo and Pedego Director of Business Development Cynthia Newcomb will be in attendance to interact with local Pedego enthusiasts.
“We are excited to celebrate our Pedego community with this appreciation event,” said Michael Soisson, co-owner of Pedego Harrisburg. “We simply love Pedego and sharing our passion for adventure and fun with others, which we are able to do through our local storefront. We are grateful for our community in Harrisburg and are excited to see it continue to grow.”
Pedego Harrisburg is owned by Michael, Denise and Drew Soisson. In addition to operating their Pedego store, Michael is the senior vice president at a Harrisburg-based healthcare company, and Denise works for the Department of Transportation. Before joining the Pedego family, Drew had a career in residential real estate.
“We decided to open a Pedego store last September for a number of reasons, but we mostly loved the idea of doing this together as a family,” said Michael Soisson. “This is our first business venture as a family, and it’s been so special for it to be centered around an activity that we all enjoy. Denise and I have been avid cyclists for the nearly 38 years that we have been married, and we fell in love with cycling even more after experiencing Pedego Electric Bikes.”
This event is one stop of many on Pedego’s 2021 Hello Fun Tour. With stops in more than 80 communities that are home to Pedego storefronts, the Hello Fun Tour will highlight more than 40 new store openings, adding to the brand’s footprint of over 160 locally-owned locations.
“The Hello Fun Tour is the highlight of our year at Pedego,” said Pedego CEO Don DiCostanzo. “We love the opportunity to celebrate our communities. This tour is a unique way for us to show our appreciation and to surprise and delight our store owners and customers. Pedego is all about community, connecting with others and enjoying exercise, and the Palooza events embody just that.”
