Biking Has NOT Been Canceled – Thank Goodness!

People around the globe are paying a huge price to flatten the curve and mitigate the worst effects of COVID-19.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimates that global GDP will drop by 3%, which is dramatically worse than the financial crisis of 2009.
Mental & Physical Toll
The toll that social distancing measures will take on our physical and mental well-being is harder to measure, but it’s every bit as real. It’s not natural to be isolated and cooped up indoors.
In a recent Science News report, experts warn that prolonged isolation during the pandemic may worsen or trigger mental health problems.
A similar Science Magazine article cites a 2011 study concluding that over long periods of time, social isolation can increase the risk of a variety of health problems, including heart disease, depression, dementia, and even death.
